At an Extraordinary General meeting on 8th July, there was a unanimous vote to apply for
Charitable Status.

 

 



Isleworth Baroque

Isleworth Baroque is a group of professional and amateur musicians based in West London dedicated to performing 17th and 18th century operas. Our numbers include singers, dancers, instrumentalists and production staff.

 

As the Baroque Music Workshop of Hounslow Adult Education Music Centre, we staged productions of Handel’s Acis and Galatea in 2002 and Purcell’s Faerie Queene in 2003. We re-formed as an independent group, Isleworth Baroque, in 2004 and performed one of the very first English operas ever written, John Blow’s Venus and Adonis, composed in 1683.

The group is directed by Helena Brown
