| Isleworth Baroque
is a group of professional and amateur musicians based
in West London dedicated to performing 17th and 18th century
operas. Our numbers include singers, dancers, instrumentalists
and production staff. |
|
As the Baroque Music Workshop
of Hounslow Adult Education Music Centre, we staged productions
of Handel’s Acis and Galatea in 2002 and Purcell’s Faerie
Queene in 2003. We re-formed as an independent group, Isleworth
Baroque, in 2004 and performed one of the very first English
operas ever written, John Blow’s Venus
and Adonis, composed in 1683.
The group is directed by Helena
Brown
